Middle East Gulf Region
A Growing Movement in the Cradle of Christianity
Across the Middle East and Gulf region, Christian leaders are serving their communities by working together to address the greatest needs facing their cities.

Demographics
The Middle East and North Africa is home to more than 400 million Muslims, who make up approximately 94% of the region’s population; with a median age of about 25, it is also one of the world’s youngest regions.
Christians represent only about 3% of the population of the Middle East and North Africa, making them a small minority in the birthplace of Christianity.
More than half of the people living in Gulf Cooperation Council countries are international migrants, reflecting the region’s unique role as a crossroads for people from South Asia and around the world.
Youth unemployment in the Arab States reached 26.2% in 2025, among the highest rates in the world and reflecting significant challenges facing the region’s next generation.
